1. Mediterranean

At the beginning of 2004 I was single again. This is when I decided to connect with and Italian-German friends with whom I had been friends for many years.

The song was the last track of the Cherry Blossom session but it never made it to any CD until now. The German version was recorded, together with Stephanie, at the end of 2006 but it was arranged only in 2007. The other song that we recorded together is Everybody is scared that will be part of a future project.

This song belong to the following group: The Rock and The Mermaid, from Indian Summer (www.myspace.com/thetreesindiansummer), part of Cherry Blossom, released in 2005 and All inclusive, part of East West Center World (www.myspace.com/thetreesewcw), released in 2006.

7. In my house

Made in 2006 at Richard's House in Vancouver, BC.

Questo pezzo è stato scritto prima che partissi per gli USA.

Racconta dei BBQ a casa di Richard, in Canada, dove è anche stato girato il video. Alla versione originaria è stato aggiunto il rap di AJ a Cleveland. Nel video ci sono anche pezzi tratti dalla festa a Colà di Lazise del Settembre 2006.

8. Tequila sunrise

Richard and Sue got married at the end of 2003. I visited them for the wedding, I was on the plane, looking at a beautiful sunset when I wrote this song. This is a love song, the love for a city: Vancouver.

This song was on Indian Summer, part of Cherry Blossom, released in 2005. The sisters songs of this track are: In my house from Turning Leaves part of Cherry Blossom released in 2005, (www.myspace.com/thetreesturningleaves) and Searching for gold from Del vecchio continente (www.myspace.com/glialberionline) that was released in Italian in 2003.

5. Angel blue eyes

When I moved to Cleveland I started singing and writing in English. At first I was living at the Embassy Suites hotel on Rockside Road, where I wrote this love song.

This track was part of from Turning Leaves, (www.myspace.com/thetreesturningleaves), part of Cherry Blossom, released in 2005. Spanish is the language that I started learning in Cleveland, together with Alina, Cuban teacher and Kent, friend from Nebraska.

It is the first song in Spanish for The Trees but I also recorded other songs in Spanish as L’Orca, on El Pirata Del Mediterraneo ( www.myspace.com/riclorca), released at the end of 2006 and available on CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com/cd/lorca).

9. Searching for gold

At the end of 2002 I was living in Italy, working for an Italian company and dreaming about the West Coast. I could not find myself at home anymore as I had lived in Canada and appreciated the West.

This was the first track of Gli Alberi, it was part of their CD Del vecchio continente (www.myspace.com/glialberionline) that was released in Italian in 2003. When I moved to the USA I spent some time in the studio, recording the never released English version of the CD.
